selection- a text or an excerpt of a text used to ask questions on a test.
appropriate- the correct information used to get to an answer.
clarify- to make clear.
thesis- a statement or theory that needs to be proved.
claim- a statement or theory that needs to be proved.
conclude- to come to a final decision based upon information.
summarize- to give a brief explanation of a story or an article.
paraphrase- to put into your own words.
periods of ellipsis- 3 dots at the end of a sentence that should be continued.
analyze- to look at closely.
annotate- to make notes and underline as you read text.
conclusion- the final opinion or thought about something.
