Welcome to Mrs. Cathey's ESL Class!!!
My name is Erin Cathey and I am excited to teach ESL full time at Koontz this year. I have taught English as a Second Language for 10 years in various counties in North Carolina and in Tennessee. I am lucky to be a native from Asheville, and I graduated from A C Reynolds High School. I received a BA in Spanish and ESL Certification from Appalachian State University, and I later completed my Masters in Education with an ESL concentration at Middle Tennessee State University. My husband and I now reside in Arden and are the proud parents of two wonderful daughters. I am passionate about teaching ESL, studying languages, spending time with my family, and enjoying the outdoors.
