Welcome to my Classroom

I am one of five EC teachers at Koontz. This will be my seventh year teaching and my sixth at Koontz. I studied Exceptional Student Education at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. I had lived in Florida all of my life, until my husband and I moved to Asheville five years ago. We recently had our first child, a little girl, in September 2018. I love everything about North Carolina; we enjoy hiking on the weekends and finding new restaurants.
I have had a passion for students with special needs since I was in early high school and I am honored to be apart of my students' lives at Koontz. Please explore the tabs on the left of the screen to learn more about our classroom.
